Not before the end of December, some say, from December 13, others retort.
Surely you heard about it yesterday, several sites suggested that only the reference Radeon RX 7900 XTX / XT (MbA – Made by AMD) would be released on launch day, December 13th. The first custom graphics cards, offered by the partners, would only be available a week or two later. Rumors now denied by the editorial staff of ComputeBase.de. In a Tweet, the site’s journalists report that custom models will be offered from December 13.
In general, high-end graphics cards from AMD’s partners arrive a few days after the company’s. We’ll see if the phenomenon happens again with RDNA 3 products. Companies like Asus, PowerColor or Sapphire have already teased their Radeon RX 7000s, without however giving much indication in terms of specifications. In any case, for the moment, for AMD’s RDNA 3 graphics cards, we have not been entitled to leaks of the same order as for the GeForce RTX 4000: remember for example the exposure of several GeForce RTX 4090 signed Zotac even before the officialization of this one by NVIDIA.
GPU sales suffer biggest quarterly decline since 2009
One certainty: AMD’s Radeon RX 7900 XTX / XT will be there on December 13
AMD presented its Radeon RX 7900 XTX/XT and the arch RDNA 3 earlier this month; the first two Radeon RX 7000s, whose characteristics are detailed below, will therefore be launched on December 13th. With or without custom cards in the set? It’s up to you to decide this converse, depending on which source you give the most credit to. For our part, we will confine ourselves to a Norman response: maybe yes, maybe not.
