How to use the TFT comp tier list

Each composition presents the champ as well as optimal objects for the most important of them. Comps generally need to be tailored to the lobby you’re playing in. Keep in mind that some comps have very different rankings depending on what you have in your game, but our tier list is mostly here to show the big picture.

The list is current at June 10, 2022 (patch 12.11).

Comp Tier S

These compositions are the most regular, those which do not depend on too specific conditions to be solid and get at least a top 4, while having the possibility of getting a top 1 in the right conditions.

Nami is very reliable in main carry with Magisince it is quite easy to pass 3 stars thanks to the line Cosmic (Astral). This allows you to get it quickly and then be able to level up. It may be interesting to replace vladimir by Ryze at the end of the game when you no longer need the 3 Cosmics.

If you have variations of Mirage that help your DPS (Ace, critical, power bonuses…), you can play Daeja in main carry. It offers excellent magic DPS, while yasuo is also a very powerful late game carry with good items.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

One of the best comps is to simply field all of the game’s controlled champions (Lulu, sona, Ornn, Zoe and bard) and add a legendary dragon as Ao Shin Where Aurelion Sol in carry. This composition is very flexible, and is to be preferred if you can go for it at level 9.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

The duo of Kayn and 3 stars can be interesting if you slow roll at level 6. You can play 4 Assassins as soon as possible, prioritizing damage items over Kayn and utility items on your other champions. The aura items are very relevant in this composition.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

Swain is a very powerful carry, inflicting heavy magic damage continuously if you make it your Dragonmancer Hero (Dragomancer). You usually want to roll at level 7 or level 8 to try to pass it 3 stars. In some cases, you can also play only 3 Dracomancers and try to play instead 6 or 9 Ragewings.

Comp Tier A

Tier A comps are less consistent than Tier S comps, often depending on specific conditions to work (such as a good start, perfect items, or specific Augments). However, they can be just as powerful, or even more so under the right conditions.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

With the Horde or Dragon Alliance Augmentsyou can play several Dragons. The best combination is Idas in tanks, Daeja in carry, and Shi Oh Yu in hybrid, all with plenty of utility over your other champions.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

If you can go level 9, you can play Aurelion Sol carry. As for Ao Shin, you can use any combination of frontline and utility. This composition becomes much more powerful with a Mage Emblem for Aurelion Sol.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

Ryze is a carry that gains in power as the fights progress. You want to roll to 8 to make Ryze 3 stars which allows you to also play for Sylas who is your main tank. Playing 5 Mages or 7 Mages gives you a lot of late game damage and utility.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

The compositions Jade are very flexible, since they boost all units adjacent to the Statuesyou can play any carry. Shi Oh Yu which acts as a physical/tank DPS with Neeko in secondary tank. Your main carry can be yasuo, Anivia, Xayah, sona, Swain

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

If you have Dragon Rider (Trainer) early in the game, Yummy can become a great late game tank. You can then play a composition Pyrotechnician (Revel) / Cannoneer (Cannonneer) with Corky in physical DPS and sona in magic carry. You can play Ornn and Tahm Kench in frontline, or play Idas.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

Xayah is the standard physical DPS of the Set, capable of dealing a lot of physical damage if you go for 9 Ragewing. It also allows you to play Shyvana in secondary tank/carry. You can also play only 6 Furials to bring in more synergies like Viftireur (Swiftshot), Rider, Shapeshifter

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

Sy’fen is usually your main carry in comps Whispers (Whispers). You can play it with 6 Whispers and 4 Fighters (Bruiser)or with 6 Fighters and 4 Whispers. In all cases, pyke is usually your secondary carry in this build.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

Elise is a very powerful carry in a composition 6 Whispers which gives you a lot of AD and power. If you play it in main carry, you want to slow roll to level 7 or 8 to pass it. 3 stars and play 4 Shapeshifters. In this case, Sy’fen takes on a secondary carry/tank role.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

Diana 3 stars is an extremely dangerous champion with 4 Assassins and 4 Scalebreakers (Scalescorn). The advantage of this composition is that it is very flexible in the choice of carries, since champions like pyke and Heel can also be very interesting to equip.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

With a Olaf early in the game, you can make him die several fights in a row to gain power and make him your main carry with 4 Warriors. Diana is also a very dangerous champion if you can also pass her 3 stars.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

Ashe and Twitch is an interesting carry duo, the first offering utility and mixed damage, and the second being really focused on physical damage. Since you want to slow roll to level 6 to pass them 3 starsyou can also play 3 stars in main tank with Guardian.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

Varus is quite easy to pass 3 stars with Cosmic (Astral), allowing you to play it as main carry. It is interesting to accompany it with 4 Viftireurs (Swiftshot)with Xayah which can be a secondary carry. The frontline of Fighters (Bruiser) is all found, although Idas is also an option if the 1st object Lightscale (Shimmerscale) gives AD.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

Tristana and Jinx are two carries that complement each other well: the first deals physical damage, the second magic damage and control. You can therefore slow roll to level 6 to pass them. 3 stars. Do not hesitate to play a maximum of Gunners afterwards.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

Ezreal is very powerful if you get it early, especially with Augments like Axiomatic arc Where blue battery which allows him to strafe almost without interruption. You can slow roll it at level 5, which also allows you to play Taric / Leona in front which become very tanky.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

To punish comps that don’t protect their backline, killers are still relevant. Heel is an interesting physical carry with the bonuses Guildwhile pyke and Diana are very good secondary carries with more magic damage.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

Lee Sin can be a surprising carry in Dragonmancer Hero (Dragomancer)becoming very tanky while dealing excellent damage if you have champions 3 stars. At the end of the game, you can play Ao Shin in secondary carry to have 4 Storms.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

Sett can become a true One Punch Man with a mix of physical damage and defense items. With Senna in secondary carry from a distance, and Shyvana in late game tanking, this comp is very strong once you have your 6 Ragewing.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

If you have a lot of Nidalee at the start of the game, you can play Nidalee 3 stars in main carry. She is interesting with 4 Shapeshifters to give her a lot of HP while she deals heavy physical damage.

Comp Tier B

These compositions can be very strong but are only to be considered when you have very favorable conditions, such as an excellent release, a specific Emblem, or suitable Augments.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

Lillia with power and defensive items can become a real killing machine if you pass it 3 stars. You can also play Nami 3 stars in secondary carry, and play a third magician as Ryze Where Zoe at the end of the game.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

With a change Mirage which boosts power, attack speed or crits, you can play Yone 3 stars in main carry. He is then surrounded by a mixture of Warriors and Miragewith yasuo which can be your late-game secondary carry.

TFT-Set-7-Tier-List-Compo

The composition Cosmic (Astral) is one of the most basic of the Set: you just want to slow roll to level 5 for your 1 range champions, then roll again to level 7 for those at 3 range. So you can count on Varus and Nami 3 stars in carries. At the end of the game, you can either play 9 Cosmics with Aurelion Solor play only 6 and add magician and Viftireur (Swiftshot).

If you have a lot of Karma at the start of the game, you can play it as main carry. She deals a lot of magic damage with crit items to make the most of the huge power bonus from Dragonmancer. You want to slow roll to level 5 to pass it 3 starswith Taric and Sett who are also welcome.

In this rather particular composition, Volibear is your main carry, with a lot of stats between Legend and 6 Dracomancers (Dragomancer). The positioning of this composition is rather complex, but in the scheme presented Volibear absorbed Swain, Ornn absorbed Ashe and Anivia absorbed Karma.

This composition is very unique. Here is the principle: Neeko boosted Shi Oh Yu and Ornn with its chalicesthen takes on the appearance and stats of Shi Oh Yu. After that, she gets absorbed by Ornn who therefore gains the defensive stats of Shi Oh Yu and the bonus power of chalices of Neeko. He then has a lot of armor, magic resistance, and especially power, allowing him to one-shot many champions with his spell.
