MISCELLANEOUS – Suspected of having killed the teenager whose remains were found on Tuesday in a pipe of a building in Saint-Priest (Rhône), the man already implicated in this case was indicted and imprisoned this Saturday, January 21, announced the parquet floor of Lyon.

“The respondent in the Saint-Priest homicide case has been indicted on the count of murder and placed under a warrant of committal” after his referral to court on Friday, added the prosecution to AFP. Justice also makes it known that the “investigations will continue” with the aim of “determining the exact circumstances and the motive for this passage to the act”. Until Saturday, the suspect was only prosecuted as part of an investigation of the count of intentional homicide.

“During his police custody, the defendant disputed the alleged facts while making increasingly incoherent remarks”according to the prosecution, which reported“psychiatric expertise (…) necessary to deepen the personality” of the 28-year-old suspect.

The young man, whose criminal record “does not mention any conviction” and who is “Follow-up for psychiatric disorders for several years”had been arrested on Wednesday, the day after the macabre discovery.

A possible link with the victim

It was late Tuesday evening that the discovery of the body took place. After the alert given by a company that came to unclog the pipes of an apartment building, at the request of its owner.
