MISCELLANEOUS – A young woman was stabbed this Wednesday, January 25 at Paris-Cité University, boulevard Saint-Germain, in the center of the capital, and her alleged attacker arrested, said a source close to the file, confirming information from the Parisian.
The Paris prosecutor’s office has confirmed that an investigation for attempted murder has been opened and entrusted to the judicial police (3rd district) and that a man has been taken into custody.
A time started, the vital prognosis of the victim, born in Algeria, was no longer at the end of the afternoon, said the prosecution.

A 25-year-old man from the Paris region was taken into police custody before being hospitalized for an operation, according to the public prosecutor.
The trail of a private dispute
“The nature of their relationship is not established at this stage, other than that they attended the same university establishment”said the prosecution.
It would be a private dispute, according to the first elements of the investigation.
According to the prosecution, “two knives likely to have been used for the commission of the facts were found respectively within the University and in a trash can outside”.

The young woman was stabbed with a knife as she left an elevator around noon, a police source said.
