The director Roger Louret, who created several solos on stage for Pierre Palmade, Muriel Robin or Guy Bedos and founded the famous troupe “The Baladins in Agenais“, died at the age of 72, announced his brother Guy Louret to AFP.
He died of an illness at the end of the afternoon at the hospital in Villeneuve-sur-Lot, in Lot-et-Garonne, the department in which he was born on May 20, 1950.
His shows nominated for the Molières
This former student of the Conservatory of Toulouse, classical dancer and musician by training, created in 1973, in his village of Monclar, the Théâtre de Poche (60 seats) which would later become “The Baladins in Agenais“, a troupe that will see a plethora of artists parade for decades. He and his brother and accomplice Guy chain creations, stage Annie Girardot as well as actors they have revealed (Muriel Robin, Élie Semoun).
Nominated 9 times for the Molières, shows like “The twist years(one million spectators), the80 years», at the Folies Bergère or even «Jacques and his masterby Kundera, directed by Nicolas Briançon, were successful before Les Baladins disappeared in 2001.
