The new price list reveals new costs for the operator’s customers. And the bill can be salty.
Bouygues Telecom has decided to charge fees for some of its hitherto free services.
Indeed, the new tariff brochure of the telephone operator which was published a few days ago shows charges that are not negligible for certain requests from customers.
Prioritize online customer service over phone calls
Most of the new charges observed relate to calls from subscribers to customer service, 1064, as reported by Univers Freebox.
Like for example the rpayment of an invoice by bank card has become chargeable if the customer calls on the phone but remains free if he makes payment through the website. The service being billed €7.50 which is not a negligible sum.
The same goes for processing fees for change payment method of his invoice or his bank details. You will have to pay €7.50 in store or through the telephone service. However, the service remains free if the request is made via the website.
Costs of up to 9 euros per telephone
And the fees can be higher for other services.
It will be necessary to count 9 euros for everything concerning the Wi-Fi settings (change of the name of the Wifi network or the password of the box, the configuration of the time slots or of a device for the equipment of the Wifi at the box) or the configuration of the box by calling 1064, but always free via Internet.
Ditto for the costs of setting up a devicebut this time the note rises to 6 euros.
It is therefore preferable to inquire beforehand before making a request to customer service to avoid any unpleasant surprises on the invoice…
